Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Aug 2008

Marvin L. Nemetz, of Ionia, age 73, loving brother and friend passed away on
Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008.  He was born on Dec. 20, 1934 in Ionia, the son of
Lewis and Violet (Tyler) Nemetz.  Mr. Nemetz was a veteran of the United States
Navy and was a lifetime member of the Lansing VFW Post #6132.

Surviving are two sisters, Betty McMullen of Lansing and Edna Winter of
Portland; 2 aunts, Joyce Hausserman of Ionia and Zava Smejkal of Fenwick and
several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a
sister, Lila Irers.

The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger at 11 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 at the Schrauben –Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street,
Ionia with interment following at Balcom Cemetery.  The family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Animal Shelter in memory
of Mr. Marvin L. Nemetz.
