Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 Oct 2008

Rick Nemetz, aged 48, of Ionia, passed away Oct. 9, 2008.  He was born Feb. 7,
1960 in Kent County, the son of Glenn K. and Betty M. (Wieczorek) Nemetz.  He
married Sally Hadder Aug. 19, 1983 in Ionia.  Rick worked for Ionia Public
Safety and Ronald Township Fire Dept as a Firefighter for 21 years.  He loved to
hunt, fish and ride motorcycles.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Sally Nemetz of Ionia; children
Brittany (Nick) Bristow of Ionia, Brady Nemetz of Ionia and Summer Stanton and
fiance Fred Sprague of Ionia; mother Betty Nemetz of Manistee; granddaughter,
Mercedes and 2 grandsons; sister Connie (Gene) Schilling of Manistee;
mother-and-father-in-law Dick and Bonnie Hadder of Ionia and 3 nephews.  He was
preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services will be held Monday 2 p.m. at the Ionia Public Safety Building
with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating.  A visitation will be held at the Nemetz
home, Sunday 4-6 p.m.  Arrangement by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  In lieu of
flowers you may make contributions of Ionia Public Schools Scholarship for
Future Fire Fighters.
