His body was found shortly after heart disease had claimed him early Sunday morning in the gas house. “Patsy” had removed one shoe preparatory to lying down for a nap about 3 o’clock Sunday morning when the summons came. He died instantly. Henry Netterle, better known as “Patsy Bunker,” was one of Ionia’s characters. Everybody knew him. Everybody knew him as his own worst enemy. He was never known to have harmed anybody else. His seventy or thereabouts year of life had contributed to him a varied experience. Few knew his locality any better, and few remembered its ups and downs as well. He knew the history of the world in which he lived and his reminiscences vividly recalled were related in a style all his own which many times proved deeply interesting to his listeners. He had no known relatives but he had many friends. From among their number funds were provided Monday for flowers for his funeral and the necessary money for his burial was provided.
