Mr. Neumann has been a great sufferer during an illness of three or four years, having been confined to the bed for over a year. His disease is given as blood poisoning. One physician, who examined the case, describes it as a dry gangrene, probably resulting from frozen feet. His toe withered away and his feet finally became distorted and useless.
