Ionia County News, 18 Apr 1963

Mrs. Lela Mable Neve, 73, of 611 Pleasant Street, Belding passed away Tuesday, March
26 at 2:30 p.m. following an illness of four years.  She died at the Frisbe
Convalescent Home, where she was a patient.

Mrs. Neve was born October 26, 1889, near Stanton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Doyle.  She married Ben Neve in 1927.  Mr. Neve held the office of Sheriff,
in Ionia for six years, and died in office and Mrs. Neve filled the office of
Sheriff for Ionia County for the remaining six weeks of the term.  Mrs. Neve had
resided in Belding for the last 60 years, where she was a member of the Royal
Neighbors.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral
Home, in Belding with Rev. Ralph Dean of the Belding Methodist Church officiating. 
Interment was in the River Ridge Cemetery in Belding.
