January 20, 2017 ROBERT NEVE 1947-2017 Robert E. "Bob" Neve, 69, of Lake formerly of Belding/Orleans, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 16, 2017 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Bob was born on Feb. 23, 1947 in Ionia, the son of Rollo and Betty (Kiste) Neve. Bob graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1966 and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War for four years. He retired from General Motors in Lansing after many years of service. Bob was a talented carpenter, mechanic and jack of all trades having built homes, garages and was able to work on just about anything mechanical. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and wintering in Florida. He had also served on the Orleans Township Fire Department for 17 years. Bob had a good sense of humor, was a hard worker and had a big love of family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was married on Jan. 21, 1967 in Belding to Beth Trebian. Bob is loved and survived by his wife Beth and their children, Bryan (Kelly) Neve of St. Johns, Jenni (Ray) Bordeaus of Chesterfield, VA. and Myra Crane of Clio; grandchildren, Tavin, Emileigh, Lukas, Skyelar, Ray III, Brittany and Collin; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Lily and Noah; siblings, Steven (Sally) Neve. Ed (Laurinda) Neve, and David Neve, all of Belding, Jeff (Penny) Neve of Hudsonville, Carol (Roger) Voss of Grand Rapids; his father-in-law, Paul Trebian of Orleans; sister-in-law, Charlotte Dever; brother-in-law, Harold (Barb) Trebian, all of Belding. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jackie Foss and Gerrie Worthy, and his mother-in-law Wilma Trebian. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at Shiloh Community Church, Orleans with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Military honors will be given by the joint honor guard of the Belding American legion and VFW. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Shiloh Church. Interment will be in the spring in Orleans Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Belding Freedom Wall. Envelopes will be available at church or at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home Belding where funeral care has been entrusted.
