The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 18, 1959

Archie E. Nevins, 55, 1191 Yeomans street, died at 8:30 p.m. August 17 at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital.  He had been admitted about 10 a.m. suffering 
a heart condition.

He was born in Gratiot county April 20, 1904, the son of Albert and Alice 
Nevins and had been a resident of Ionia the past 35 years.  In September of 
1934 he was married to Hazel Roberts at Lyons.  Mr. Nevins had been employed 
in the maintenance department at Iona division of Mitchell-Bentley corporation 
since September 1944.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; two sons, Lloyd and Kenneth of Ionia; one step-
son, Ray Schooley of Ionia; two grandchildren; one brother, Wilbur Nevins of 
Grand Haven and a sister, Mrs. Grace Wade of Lake City.

Funeral service will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Thursday at 2:30 
p.m. by the Rev. Howard Johnson of Okemos, former pastor of the Lincoln Avenue 
Baptist church of Ionia.  Interment will be in the family lot at Easton 
cemetery.
