July 7, 1975 Adam Dwayne Nevins, 11 month old son of Lloyd and Wanda Wilson Nevins, died late Saturday evening at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Grand Rapids July 27 1974, and remained at the hospital until he was eight months old and was released to be brought by special ambulance to his home on North Stage road. He had received two pace makers, one on each side of the lungs, in an operation which was the first of its kind in North America. It was the first time two pacemakers had been used to act simultaneously to activate the diaphragm. He had been returned to the Grand Rapids hospital recently. Surviving are his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Lloyd Nevins of North State road; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilson of rural Inoia; and maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy B.
