Norman (Norm) A. Newcomb, age 63, of Saranac, passed away unexpectedly at his 
home December 26, 2004.  Norman was born to Norman O. and Rosa (Bussell) 
Newcomb on September 13, 1941 in  Ionia.  He graduated from Ionia High School 
in 1960 and served in the Army for two tours in Vietnam.  He retired from TRW 
after 31 years.  Norman married Linda (Lehman) Sage on March 22, 1982.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy, and his father, Norman O. 
Newcomb.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Linda Newcomb of Saranac; sons, 
John (Angel) Newcomb, John (Robin) Sage, Jody (Vicki) Sage, Gary (Heather) 
Sage; daughter, Rhonda (Rick) Newcomb-Rynd; mother, Rosa Newcomb of Ionia; 
brothers, Bill (Ann) Newcomb of Angleton, Texas, Paul (Rose) Newcomb of Ionia; 
sisters, Sharon (Ron) McWeeney of Anaheim, Calif., Connie (Bill) Almy of Ionia; 
10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating.  Interment Saranac Cemetery.  The 
family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
