The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 10, 1998

Meredith E. Newcomb, 52, passed away at Ionia County Memorial Hospital Aug. 6, 
1998.  He was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Fenton, Mich., the son of Daniel and 
Thelma (Sutherby) Newcomb.  He graduated from Ionia High School and was 
employed as a line worker in an automotive plant.

He is survived by his son, Tim Newcomb, of Durand; brothers, Lawrence Newcomb, 
of Durand, Edwin Newcomb, of Owosso, and Dale Newcomb, of Flint; half-
brothers, Norman Mapes and Scott Mapes, both of Durand; sister, Jean Newcomb, 
of Flint; half-sisters, Melody Marble, of Owosso, Terri Simmons, of Bancroft, 
Delight Diamond, of Owosso, and Kelly Dieiv, of New Lothrop.

There will be no visitation or services.  Cremation has taken place.  
Arrangements by Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.
