Rapids Press - Thursday - Nov. 29, 1917 VETERAN OF CIVIL WAR TO BE BURIED FRIDAY Edward Newhouse, veteran of the Civil war and a resident of Grand Rapids form ore than twenty-five years, died Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Newton, 1426 Plainfield avenue, N. E. He was seventy-two years old and was born in Ohio and enlisted there. Besides his daughter he is survived by one son, E. D. Newhouse of South Bend, Ind.: two brothers, S. S. Newhouse of Canton, O., and J. Newhouse of Louisville, O., one sister, Mrs. Mary Blackford, Linaville, O., and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Newton Friday at 2:30.
