Sentinel-Std. - Tuesday, July 5, 1983

BELDING- Ronald Newland, 39, 11011 Podunk Road, Greenville, died early Monday 
in Butterworth Hospital. 

He was born Aug. 1, 1943 in Greenville, the son of John and Arlene Newland.

He married Mary Fitzjohn, April 4, 1964 in Belding.

He was a member of the Ashley Baptist Church, where he was Sunday school 
superintendent and a member of the board of deacons.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, two daughters, Catherine and Jennifer, both 
at home, one son, Joseph, at home; two brothers, John of Belding and James of 
Portage; one niece and three nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Courser Funeral Home 
in Belding with the Rev. Scott Christiansen officiating.

Burial will be in the Ashley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home today from 2 
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Ashley Baptist Church, and envelopes will be 
available at the funeral home.
