Mrs. Ruth P. Newlin, 61, of Woodland, 129 West Broadway, died Tuesday afternoon 
at her home.

Born in Marion, Ind., November 18, 1909, she was the daughter of John T. and 
Sadie Draper Piner.  January 5, 1927, she was married to Charles A. Newlin and 
came to Michigan September of 1943.

She lived in Lake Odessa four years before moving to Woodland a year ago.  She 
was a member of First Baptist church of Sebewa.

Surviving besides her husband, Charles, are one daughter, Mrs. Wellman Darling 
of Lake Odessa; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. 
Robert Stevens of Renton, Wash., Mrs. Hazel Martin and Mrs. Arthur Kirby, both 
of Marion, Ind., and Mrs. Lillian Rodman of Florida; a brother, Wilbur Piner of 
California.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in 
Lake Odessa.  Rev. James McClain will officiate and interment will be at 
Baptist cemetery at Sebewa.
