Ionia Sentinel Standard-Saturday June 29, 1974

                                 EDWIN R.NEWMANN

Edwin R. Newmann, 81, of 614 Townsend Street, Ionia, died Friday evening at the 
Veteran's facility in Grand Rapids.

Mr.Newmann was born September 3, 1892, in Wisconsin, the son of Mr.and 
Mrs.Richard Newmann.

He was married to Cecile Church at Crystal on August 19, 1919 and they have 
resided in Ionia since 1942. He was employed by Coe Sales and Service and waasa 
Veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion in Ionia.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Don Newmann of Stanton and Douglas Newmann of 
Walled Lake; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred 
Newmann of Davison and sister, Selma Pirtle of Florida.

Funeral services are to be held at 3:30 pm. Monday at the Myers-Roetman Funeral 
Home with burial to be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the funeral home 2-4 pm Sunday.
