The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 22, 1989

Gaytha L. Newton, 75, of 1807 Horizon Drive, Ionia, and 713 49th Avenue East, 
Bradenton, Fla. 34203, died Nov. 19 in Bradenton.  She was born Feb. 20, 1914, 
in Smyrna, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Russell Loomis.

She is survived by her husband, O. Gary Newton; two daughters, Karen Hoekstra 
and Mrs. Chris (Bonnie) Engemann, both of Ionia; two grandchildren, Kelly 
Engemann and Sherry Peacock.

Funeral committal services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home, 
Belding, with Dr. Lloyd Walker officiating.  Burial will be in Balcom 
Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
