Kathryn Jean Nicewander, age 73, of Carson City, passed away Saturday, October 
4, 2008 at Spectrum Health Hospital, Reed City. 

Kathryn was born August 9, 1935 in Berlin Township, Ionia County the daughter 
of Leo and Cecilia (Scheidt) Stevens.  She was active with the Art Club and 
enjoyed to draw and paint with watercolors. 

Kathryn is survived by four children, John Luna of Reed City, Tim Luna of 
Carson City, Kathleen Luna of Carson City and Patti (Joe) Morse of Greenville, 
five grandchildren, Holly, Molly, Tasha, Justin and Joseph, and two sisters, 
Hazel Turmo and Margaret Ziggler.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 
first husband, Ruben Luna, second husband, Melvin Nicewander and a brother, 
Richard Stevens. 

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 
Carson City Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American 
Cancer Society.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux and 
Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
