The Portland Observer, Wednesday, March 23, 1887

South Danby.  Correspondence of the Observer.

Died—At her home in Danby, March 15th, Mrs. Amanda Nichol, aged 73 years.  The 
deceased left no relatives, her son John Nichol, aged 27, having died with 
consumption Saturday, March 19th.  They were both members of the U. B. 
church.  The funeral services took place at Wallington school house, conducted 
by their pastor, Elder Stone.
