Nichol, who died in a Chicago hospital early this morning. Word was received Sunday morning stating that Mr. Nichol had undergone a serious operation in Chicago. Another telegram was received Sunday afternoon to the effect that Mr. Nichol was very low. A. A. Nichol, his brother, left for Chicago Sunday evening. Mr. Nichols was born in Danby township and moved to Ionia with his parents when quite young. He attended the local schools and graduated in the class of 1900, later locating in Chicago, which city has been his home for several years. Besides his parents and brother, he leaves a sister, Miss Janet Nichol, who resides with her parents. Mr. Nichol’s death is a great shock to his family, coming as it does soon after the death of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Irwin, which occurred suddenly while on a visit at the parental home in April. No arrangements have been made for the funeral as yet.
