Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 30 Dec 1947

Funeral services were held for Alfred A. Nichol from Boynton’s funeral home
Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. Adam J. Westmaas officiating. 
Interment was in Highland Park cemetery.  Mr. Nichol died at 2:00 a.m. Friday at
the Ionia Convalescent home, where he had been a patient for several days.  His
bearers were Fred Wortman, Frank Gazella, Martin McNamara, Max Koss, R. W.
Stevenson and G. Lee Yates.

Attending the services from out of town Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Nichol of
Stockbridge, the Rev. James J. DeCrocker and Miss Jeannette Nichol of Big
Rapids, Mrs. James Hanigan, Earl Hanigan and Mrs. Don Cutler of Detroit, Mr. and
Mrs. Alton Morris and Miss Lena Morris of Sunfield, Miss Lily Whitney and Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Pittinger of Grand Rapids, and Albert Tower of Cedar Springs.
