Nichols, 61, died Wednesday evening at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ellis Bignell, of Palo. He had been a resident of Beulah but was taken ill while visiting his sister, Dec. 10, and he had stayed there since. He was born Feb. 15, 1882, in Harbor Springs, where he had lived on a farm until 1909?, when he moved to Benzie county near Beulah. He was a member of Thompsonville Methodist church near Beulah. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Bignell of Palo and Mrs. Harry Orwick of Carey, Ohio; three brothers, Lyle Nichols of Beulah, George W. Nichols of Flint and Wilbur L. Nichols, serving with the armed forces overseas. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Homestead Methodist church near Beulah. The body will repose at the Stebbins funeral home, Sheridan, until Sunday morning when it will be taken to the church. Burial will be in Beulah cemetery.
