The Ionia Daily Standard, Tuesday, July 14, 1900

W. S. Nichols, for several years a resident of Ionia, carrying on the marble 
business here, died at Glassport, Pa., yesterday at 1 p.m.  The information 
comes to Geo. H. Allured in a telegram from Geo. Nichols, son of deceased, who 
adds that remains will arrive in Ionia on the 11:44 train, Grand Trunk road, 
tomorrow forenoon, and that brief services will be held at M. E. church; 
interment in Highland Park.  Deceased went from Ionia to Florida, where he 
lived several years, but recently has made his home with his children in 
Pennsylvania.
