William T. Nichols Woodland, Dies

William T. Nichols, 78, retired farmer, route 1, Woodland, passed away early 
Tuesday morning at the Kalamazoo hospital, after a seven year illness.

He was born in New York state but had spent most of his life in the Woodland 
area. His parents were Hugh and Cora Nichols. His wife, the former Winifred 
Velte, passed away seven years ago.

Surviving are a brother, Clarence of Indiana; one nephew, Ralph Nichols of 
Kalamazoo and a niece, Mrs. David Troyer of Hastings.

funeral services were held Thursday (today) at the Pickens funeral chapel with 
burial in the Woodland Memorial cemetery.
