Grand Rapids Press - July 21, 1937

Jay D. Nichols, age 60 of Ionia died at the home of relatives on July 19, 1937. 
Jay, along with his wife were visiting in Gregory since May. Born in Bengal 
township, Clinton county. He had lived for a time in Lyons with his parents. He 
is survived by his widow, two brothers, Alfred of St. Johns and Henry of Lyons, 
two sister, Mrs. James Rittenburg of Pewamo and Miss Purda Nichols of Ionia. 
Mr. Nichols was also survived by two step-children.
