Cecil Nicholson, aged 55, of Ionia, passed away Jan. 13, 2008.  He was born 
April 6, 1952 in Oakly, Mich. the son of Harold and Irene (Hawes) Nicholson.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Nicholson of Muir; brothers, Julius 
Nicholson of Muir, Ronnie Nicholson of Lyons and Donald (Lynn) Nicholson of 
Alaska; sisters, Bonnie Nicholson of Lake Odessa, Diane (Jerry) Porubsky of 
Ionia and Karen (Bruce) Cupps of Muir; half brother George Hanes of Muir and 
many nieces and nephews.

Cecile was preceded in death by his father in 1985, sister Lucy Nicholson, 
brother Scott Nicholson, half brother Kenney Hanes and nephew Fred Owens.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Muir with 
Rev. Greg Gladding officiating.  Interment Lyons Cemetery.  The family will 
receive friends and relatives noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the 
funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
