Goodrich, leaving fifty-four descendants, almost all of whom live in this vicinity. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, the Rev. D. E. Millard conducting the service. Mrs. Nicholson was one of the pioneers of Orange township, moving on a farm there with her husband, the late Hiram Nicholson, more than 45 years ago. They made their home in Orange until Mr. Nicholson’s death 22 years ago, since which time she has made her home with her children and for many years with Mrs. Goodrich. She was the mother of ten children and all are now living. They are Mrs. Goodrich, Mrs. Ozman Smith, Mrs. Amos Kinney, Mrs. A. F. Koltz, of Portland; Mrs. W. F. Benedict, Port Huron; Mrs. Solomon Keefer, Greenville; Jay, Delbert, Ambrose and Glenn Nichols, of Portland. There are nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren all living. Mrs. Nicholson was born in New York state and came to Michigan when a child, living first in Oakland county, where she was married and where a number of her children were born.
