Portland Review, 11 Nov 2007

Chad William Nickols, 21, pf Portland and formerly of Laingsburg, died Nov. 3, 2007
in Mecosta County as the result of an auto accident.  Chad was born in Lansing May
21, 1986 to Jeffery and Nancy (Edwins) Nickols.  He was a graduate of Portland High
School and was just starting a job with Meader Brothers, Inc.

He is survived by his parents, Jeffery Nickols of Mecosta and Nancy (Glen) Johnson
of Battle Creek; brothers, Jason (Dana Meredith) Nickols of Lansing and Kyle (April
Honsowitz) Nickols of Bellevue; grandparents, Randy and Jane Stripling of DeWitt and
Rollie and Kay Nickols of Laingsburg, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held Nov. 8 at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Laingsburg with
Rev. Paul J. Lindoff and Vicar Kurt Hagen officiating.  Burial followed at the
Laingsburg Cemetery.  Contributions may be given to the Redeemer Lutheran Church in
Big Rapids or Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lansing.
