Ionia Daily Sentinel, 9 May 1952

Lyons – Mrs. Fannie Nicles, 84, died Thursday night, May 8, at a Grand Rapids 
hospital.  She has been in ill health for some time but seriously ill for only 
two weeks.

She was born in 1868 in North Plains township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah D. 
Koutz.  She was married to John Nicles and moved to Grand Rapids about 50 years 
ago.  Her husband died in 1918 and their son, Webster, in 1916.  Mrs. Nicles 
and her sister, Mrs. Alice Curtis, lived together for several years on Hamilton 
avenue, Grand Rapids.  She was a graduate of Muir high school.

Funeral services will be at the Rauschenberger funeral home, Grand Rapids, at 
1:30 p.m. Monday.  Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery Grand Rapids.
