Jan. 23, 1975 Services Held For Thurlow C. Nicol Thurlow C. Nicol, 69, passed away early Saturday morning January 18, at the Provincial House at Hastings following an extended illness. He had been a patient there for ten months. He was born at Sunfield in Eaton county, September 7, 1905, the son of James and Mary (Dilley) Nicol and was a 1924 graduate of the Lake Odessa High School. Mr. Nicol served for five years in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1949 and was a postal clerk at the local post office for 37 years retiring in 1965. He married Grace Miner in 1934 and she passed away September 3, 1962. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs.Robert (Noreen) Mosson of Lake Odessa and Mary Nicol of Robinson, Ill.; also nephews, Nolan Roe of Harbor springs, Robert Nicol and William Nicol of Robinson, Ill. Funeral service were held at 1:30 Monday at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa. Rev. Gary Evans officiated with burial in lakeside Cemetery.
