Wm. Buell preaching the sermon. Mr. Noble was an old, well known and respected resident of Otisco, and his funeral was consequently very largely attended. He was born in Richmond, Ontario county, N.Y., Feb. 8, 1820, and was therefore just past the allotted three score and ten years. In June, 1844, he married Miss Martha Roberts, and in September following they came to Michigan and settled at Allen, Hillsdale county. Three years later they removed to Indiana, and after two years returned to New York. In 1854 they came to Otisco, and have since resided here. Of their three children – Hattie, Levi and Joseph – only Joseph survives him, though Hattie leaves for the consolation of her widowed mother four children, Carrie, Ernest, Cora and Grace. Mr. Noble was known as a good man, quiet, faithful and unassuming in his relations with his fellows. Being universally respected, his memory will long be held in esteem by his old neighbors and friends.
