Graduated from SS.Peter & Paul Academy in 1962. Married on September 2, 1966 to Patricia Omilian, whom he met at Aquinas. Employed by Michigan Department of Corrections for 32 years. Also taught criminal Justice classes with an emphasis on social life in prison as an adjunct professor at Aquinas College & taught at Montcalm Community College. Survived by wife, Patricia, his children, Cathy (Jim) Glave & Scott Nolan; his grandchildren, Tyler & Ryan Glave & Noah & Madison Nolan. Also survived by his sister, Jani (Tom) Millard, step-brother Robert Dixon, Bill (Mary Lynn) Dixon, Richard Dixon & Step-sister, Kay (Gary) Arnold. Also preceded by his parents and step-father Charles Dixson; his sister & brother-in-law Dona & David Heintzelman, & his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Nolan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. Visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel on March 11, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with rosary service at 6:30 p.m. & one hour prior to service at St.Jude Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, MI. on March 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will take place later in the spring at Mt.Olivet Cemetery, in Ionia where burial will take place.
