All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sandy Heintzelman sheintz@iserv.net December 4, 2009, 7:46 pm Lyons, Michigan, Jan. 15, 1920 March Elizabeth DeLong was born in German Flats, Herkimer County, New York, October 21, 1828, and came to Michigan overland with her father and mother James and Clarissa (nee Brown) DeLong, in 1840 and settled in Ionia County, where she lived the rest of her life. On January 26, 1848, she was married to Alexander Anderson, and of this union four children were born, James D., of Muir; Archie of Ionia; Ione Faulkner of Muir and Mrs. C.O. Miller of Lyons. After the death of Mr. Anderson in April, 1861, she was married to William P. Nolty in November, 1862, who died July 20, 1904, and to this union one child was born, Edgar J., of Lyons. She died January 10, 1920, at 11:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.O. Miller, in Lyons, having passed her 91st birthday last October. She also left to mourn her loss, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was a charter member of the Church of Christ at Ionia, which was organized in 1859, and was a faithful follower of Christ the rest of her life. Funeral services were held from the Muir Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon and interment in the Muir cemetery.
