A former resident of Clarksville and Grand Rapids, Mr. Norcutt was born May 4, 1877, the second son of Zebulon T. and Anna Hines Norcutt. He attended Campbell township schools, then became an employee of the Citizen’s Telephone Co. of Grand Rapids. Following a fall from a utility pole, he and Mrs. Norcutt came to Clarksville to take care of the switchboard and lines for the Michigan Bell Telephone Co., and later purchased an independent exchange at Stanwood. They lived at Stanwood until Mr. Norcutt suffered a severe injury from which he never fully recovered. After his retirement, the Norcutts moved to St. Petersburg, where they have lived for a number of years. Mr. Norcutt died at his home there Saturday morning. Surviving besides his wife Della are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Ripslinger of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., a sister, Mrs. Blake Allerdinger of Hastings and several nieces and nephews.
