He lived on the Wolverton farm, four miles south of city on Bellevue road, his wife being a daughter of C. L. Wolverton. At the time of the accident he was helping three other men get a separator out of barn, as before noted. He and one other had hold of the short tongue, while two others were behind with blocks to put under wheels, in case the descent became too fast. As it proved, the blocks were not big enough, and when the wheels passed over the blocks, those behind shouted to those in front to let go and get out of the way. Normington became cramped in such position that he could not obey warning and was struck in the side by wheel and pushed along a considerable distance. The wheel did not pass over him but his side was crushed in terribly, breaking the ribs and causing internal injuries from which he was unable to rally. His age was only 28. He was a son of W. Normington, formerly of Ronald, now of city. He leaves a wife and one child, father and mother, three brothers and seven sisters. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, 1 o’clock at the house, 2 at the Brick church. Service by Rev. E. E. Sprague, assisted by Rev. E. E. Branch. Interment, Balcom cemetery.
