Miss Clara Normington, her sister, of Ionia was spending the winter with her. The body will be sent to Ionia for burial and will arrive here Thursday afternoon, April 30. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. Miss Normington was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Normington, born in Ronald township February 2, 1895. She was a graduate of the Ionia high school and also had her master’s degree which she received in the Chicago university. For several years she was employed in the state health department in Lansing and for the past few years has been teaching in Canyon. She is survived by three brothers, Frank Powell Normington, of Lake Odessa; Joseph H. Normington, of Detroit; Ray Normington, of Ionia, and five sisters, Mrs. Lora N. Laphan, of Illinois; Miss Ethel Jane Normington, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Ruth Dikmans, of Washington, D.C.; Miss Olive Louise Normington, of Washington, D.C.; Miss Clara Normington, of Ionia. A sister, Miss Ella Normington, died August 3, 1935. --------------- Funeral services for Miss Marion Lucille Normington, who died Tuesday in Canyon, Texas, were held Saturday afternoon from the home of her sister, Miss Clara Normington, Jefferson street, at 2 o’clock. Rev. E.E. Branch, of Grand Rapids, officiated and interment was at the Highland Park cemetery. Miss Ethel Crispin and Miss Harriet Cooper had charge of the flowers. Pallbearers, nephews of the late Miss Normington, were William Normington, Leo Normington, Conrad Churchill and Lionel Normington. Relatives from away attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Normington, of Detroit; Mrs. T.H. Stanley, and Mrs. G. Dikmans, of Alexander, Virginia; Miss Ethel Normington, of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Churchill, of Carson City; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Normington, of Lake Odessa; and Mr. and Mrs. William Normington, of Allegan.
