The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 28, 1946
Miss Ethel J. Normington died Wednesday evening at her home on North Jefferson 
street after a long illness.  She was born in Ronald township, and was a 
graduate of the Ionia high school.  She attended Grand Rapids Business 
university, and did secretarial work for 25 years in Grand Rapids.  For the 
last nine years she had been living in Ionia.  She was a member of the Baptist 
church in Ionia and a member of the Business and Professional Women’s club in 
Grand Rapids.

She is survived by three sisters, Miss Clara Normington of Ionia, Mrs. Thomas 
Stanley of Ionia, and Mrs. Gerald Dikmans of University Park, Maryland.  
Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Saturday at 3:00 
o’clock, with the Rev. W. L. Cruthers officiating.  Interment will be at 
Highland Park cemetery.
