Lake Odessa Wave - Friday April 28, 1899

                              OBITUARY

Miss Jennie May Creigh was born Dec.31, 1877, Noble Co., MD. She was the 
daughter of Mr.Samuel and Lavina Creigh. She was united in marriage to Charles 
Norris on July 3, 1894. To them were born two children, Claudie, 4 years old 
August 11, and Pearl who is a year and 8 months old. She died April 19, 1899 
aged 22 years, 3 months and 19 days.

She came here in November and has been sick ever since. She was confined to her 
bed 3 months but her friends have acted christianly from all the churches and 
those who are not, have not. I have been pleased to see the true christian 
spirit manifested by our community in her behalf.I visited her, talked and 
prayed with her, and last week she seemed to doubt, but prayed and desired.I 
think she saw the light and Brother Odium baptized her; she then felt her need 
of Christ and no doubt accepted him.
