The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, January 17, 1916

Thomas B. North, an Easton pioneer, died Sunday at the home of Oscar Whorley 
in Easton.  The funeral will be held Wednesday. 

Mr. North was 90 years of age and came to Ionia in 1851, walking with his 
father 150 miles with ox taken from his home in the eastern part of the 
state.  The trip occupied three days and they settled in Berlin township on 
what is known as the Chas. Doty farm.  Eighteen or nineteen years later he 
went into Easton township and had since lived there. 

He was married in 1848 to Anna Chrysler and one son was born, Willard, in 1850.
