Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Wed. April 17, 1963


Mrs. Gertrude north, 85, widow of Bert North, died Tuesday evening at the home 
of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Edward A. Rudolph in Aberdeen, 
S.D. She had been ill the past two weeks.

Mrs. North was born August 2, 1877 in Lenawee county, the daughter of Benjamin 
and Cynthia Terry, November 28, 1899, she was married in Ionia to Bert North 
and lived in Easton township until 1955 when she moved to South Dakota. Mr. 
North died in 1953.

Mrs. North was a member of First Christian Church of Ionia. 

Surviving besides the daughter, Mrs. Rudolph, are four grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren.

The body will arrive in Ionia late Thursday and may be viewed Friday and until 
the service at 2 o’clock Saturday at Stone-Kauffman funeral home. The Rev. 
Floyd Emshwiller will officiate and interment will be at Easton Cemetery.
