Perley North, 78, of Route 3 died at the Ionia County Memorial hospital Monday 
morning at 1:20 o'clock after being a patient there for a week. He has been ill 
for about two years.

He was born June 18, 1870, the son of Frederick A. and Elsie North on the 
Easton farm where he spent his entire life as a farmer. The North farm has been 
in the family for 103 years, being taken up as a government land grant by the 
grandfather of the deceased.

Surviving are one brother, Bert, of Easton and a niece, Mrs. Edward A. Rudolph 
of Aberdeen, S.D.

Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Boynton funeral 
home with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating. Interment will be at the family lot 
in Easton cemetery.
