DOD: Thursday, 22 March 1900 Julia Northam who was one of the oldest residents of Portland, having resided here upward of 50 years died at the home of Lorenzo Lindley, where she boarded on Thursday last. Her age as near as it has been decided upon from data at hand was nearly 82 years. She was a maiden lady and was known to many of our readers. She had been a cripple for many years. Funeral services were conducted from her late home on Saturday afternoon last by Rev. Stevens of the Congregational church of which she was a member. CARD OF THANKS: We desire to express our sincere thanks to the friends and neighbors who did so much for our sister and aunt, Miss J. O. Northam, during her fast sickness and to the W.C.T.C. and neighbors for the beautiful flowers sent.
