R. L. Northrop, who went to Kenosha, Wis., a few weeks since, for his health, 
is reported alarmingly ill.

The remains of R. L. Northrop, who died at Kenosha on Saturday last, were 
brought to this city for interment. The funeral was held on Wednesday morning 
at the M. E. church, and was attended by a large number of the friends of the 
deceased.

RROBATE ORDER.
STATE OF MICHIGAN - County of Ionia

At a session of the Probate Court for the County of Ionia, held at the Probate 
Office in said county on Monday, the 4th day of October, in the year one 
thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

Present - w. H. Woodworth, Judge of Probate.
In the matter of the Estate of Ruel L. Northrop, deceased.

On reading and filing the petition duly verified of C.  M. Northrop, a brother 
of said deceased, praying that he, the said C. M. Northrop, may be appointed 
Administrator of said estate.

Thereupon it is ordered, that
MONDAY, the 1st day of NOVEMBER, next, at two o'clock in the afternoon, be 
assigned for the hearing of said petition, and that the heirs at law, and all 
other persons interested in said Estate, are required to appear at a session of 
said court, then to be holden at the Probate Office, in said county, and show 
cause, if any there be, why the prayer of the petitioner should not be granted. 
And it is further ordered, that said petitioner give notice to the persons 
interested in said estate of the pendency of said petition, and the hearing 
thereof, by causing a copy of this order to be published in the IONIA SENTINEL, 
a newspaper printed and circulated in said county of Ionia, three successive 
weeks previous to said day of hearing.
