The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, May 3, 2014


Marie Vivian Northrup, age 92, passed away in Eaton Rapids on May 1, 2014.  She 
was born in Montcalm County and spent most of her life in Ionia.  Marie married 
John Northrup on October 25, 1941, who predeceased her in 1986. 

She was mother to Joyce Judy (Ronald) Hines of Hollywood, Florida and Connie 
(Duane) Ross of Eaton Rapids; grandmother to Rhonda Hines and Michelle Hines of 
Florida, and Andrea Glynn (fiancé, Jeff) of Colorado.

During WWII, while John was serving in the Army, she worked for AC-Sparkplug 
Division, General Motors, producing spark plugs for aircraft. 

Graveside services will be held in Ionia at a later date.  Arrangements by Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia.
