The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 3, 1963
Glenwood Norton, 73, died early Tuesday morning at Ionia County Memorial 
hospital where he had been confined since August 29.  He was born August 30, 
1890 at Ray, Ind., the son of Giles and Carrie Norton, and was retired in 1855 
from New York Central Railroad.  Prior to his marriage to Marie S. Houghton in 
Auburn, Ind., May 13, 1963, he had resided in Montgomery.

Survivors include his wife Marie; two sons, Dale Bodell of Onondaga and Giles 
Norton of Carmichael, Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Ray Geething of Battle 
Creek, Mrs. Robert Perrine of Eaton Rapids and Mrs. Raymon Stafford of 
Philadelphia, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Musser of 
Coldwater, Mrs. Ruby Coldsnow of Jackson and Mrs. Mable Heroy of Montgomery.

Funereal service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home 
with interment at Pherdum cemetery near Tompkins.
