A life-long resident of Clarksville, Mrs. Florence S. Noyes, passed away at 
her home, 8565 Portland Road Friday morning, January 15, at the age of 76.  

For the past 55 years Mrs. Noyes had resided on the centennial farm, two miles 
north of Clarksville.  She was born at Kalkaska, Michigan, May 8, 1890, the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert.  She attended the Clarksville bible 
Church.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Pickens Funeral Home 
in Clarksville.  Rev. John Mathis officiated and interment was made at the 
South Boston Cemetery.  Mrs. Noyes is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Francis 
Platt of Mason; one son, Gilbert Noyes of Lowell; four grandchildren and two 
step-children.  Her husband, John, passed away in 1957.
