Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Nov 2015

Lillian May (Gharst) Nummer, 93, of Lowell and Ionia, passed away Nov. 24, 2015. 
Lillian was born on Jan. 1, 1922, in Matherton, the daughter of Oral and Lena
(Ludwick) Reed.  She enjoyed camping, dancing, crocheting and was a people lover. 
She retired from General Time after many years of service and was a member of the
Ionia Moose Lodge.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard Nummer; brother, Oral
Reed, Jr.; granddaughter, Cherry Dawn; brother-in-law, Raymond Kline.  Surviving are
her daughters Joanne Merklinger, Carol (Jack) Rossell and Darlene (Dean) Sloan; 10
grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; sister,
Ellen Kline of Matherton; several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at the
Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will follow at East Plains
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
