November 21, 2020 NUMMER James H. Nummer, aged 70 of Ionia passed away November 11, 2020. He was born August 15, 1950 in Ionia the son of Melvin and Gladys (McLellen) Nummer. Jim graduated from Ionia High School Class of 1969, he married Joan May 15, 1981 in Ionia. Jim worked at GeneralMotors until retiring in 1999. He loved restoring cars, hunting, gardening camping and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed riding and attending different events on his Harley. Jim adored his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving is Jim's loving wife of 39 years Joan Nummer of Ionia. Children Jamie Nummer of Harrison township, Jennifer (Paul) Tunell fo Fenwick, Rebekah Nummer and Scott Leathers of Oakland, CA, and Michele Joldersma (Justin Hanses) of Ionia. Grandchildren; Brady Nummer (Katie), Sydney Nummer (Ryan), Darion Kobera (Haley), Cristopher Nummer, Paris Dora, Haley Guernsey (Jeff), Madison Daugherty (Kayleb) Mason Daugherty, Heather Tunell, Sam Tunell, Mattew Joldersma (Ashley), Alyssa Smith and Kalyssa Hanses. Great-grandchildren; Damian, Marshall, Karleigh, Savannah, Arabella and 1 on the way. Siblings; Norma (Gary) Williams, Carol Dye, Stan Nummer, Gary (Jo) Nummer, Greg Nummer and Jeff Nummer. Brothers and sisters-in-law; Nancy Flinn, Carol Ardis, Harvey (Janet) Ardis, (Phil) Perrien, John Aris and Bernie (Lynn) Ardis. Several special nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Bernard and Bertha Ardis, son Christopher Nummer, son-in-law, Michael Joldersma, brother Gordon Nummer, brothers-in-law, Ronald Dye, Howard Ardis and several nephews. Funeral service for Jim will be private. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia,. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to SS Peter & Paul, Bikes & Trikes, of Ionia Moose Lodge.
