NUMMER, GLADYS ARLEEN (McLELLEN) (MRS. MELVIN L.):
   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI; April 4, 2008, page 2:  "Obituaries - Gladys
Arleen Nummer, of Ionia, Mich., age 88, loving mother and grandmother passed
away Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
   She was born on Jan. 27, 1920 in Ionia the daughter of Herbert and Gertrude
(Gilliand) McLellen.  Mrs. Nummer enjoyed traveling and fishing, but most of
all, truly enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren.
   She married Melvin L. Nummer on Sept. 30, 1939 and he preceded her in death.
 Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Gordon Nummer, four
grandsons, Lee, Mike and Chris Nummer and Scott Dye; two brothers, one
brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.
   Surviving are her children, Stanley (Deb) Nummer, Norma (Gary) Williams,
Carolyn (Ron) Dye, Gary (Jo) Nummer, Jim (Joan) Nummer, Greg (Mary Lee) Nummer
and Jeff (Teresa) Nummer; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two
great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marion Miller; sister-in-law Ila
McLellen; brother-in-law, Bob Nummer and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Roger Moore at 11 a.m.
Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia
with interment following at Balcom Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at
the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  Friday.  For those desiring,
memorial contributions may be made to the Spectrum Hospice in memory of Mrs.
