NUMMER, DOROTHY A. (CHAPIN) (MRS. ROBERT R.):
SENTINEL-STANDARD, Ionia, MI, 12-2-1988:  "Area obituaries - IONIA - DOROTHY A.
NUMMER, 59, of Ionia died Wednesday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.
   She was born in Ionia Feb. 14, 1929, the daughter of Otis and Alta Smith Chapin.
   She attended schools in both Stanton and Ionia, and was married to Robert
Nummer on Feb. 1, 1947, in Stanton.  She was employed at Gibson Manufacturing
Co. in Belding and Universal-Gerwin Manufacturing Co. in Saranac.
   She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Ionia Moose Lodge Auxiliary.
   Surviving are her husband, Robert; two sons, Robert L. and Steven G. Nummer,
both of Ionia; three daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Suzanne) King and Mrs. Michael
(Kathy) Bozung, both of Ionia, and Terri Nummer of Sault Ste. Marie; nine
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George (Betty) Brooks of Half Moon Lake and
Mrs. George (Marilyn) Hoppough of Ionia.
   She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Lorraine Miller, in 1983.
   Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Cook Funeral Home,
Ionia, with the Rev. Keith Bovee officiating.
   Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.
   The family will be at the Rich Street Chapel from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
   A memorial for the Michigan Heart Association has been established, in care
of the funeral home."
