NURENBERG IONIA-Edwin J. Nurenberg, 72, of Ionia died Wednesday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. The son of Edward and Susanna (Simon) Nurenberg, he was born March 2, 1915 in Westphalia. A member of SS.Peter and Paul Catholic Church, he retired fromTRW in Portland in 1970. He was married to the former Mildred Hugh May 19,1936, at St.Patrick's Church, Portland. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Donald of Portland and David of Ionia; three daughters, Mrs.Dave (Jane) Botruff of Grayling, Mrs.Gary (Pat) Seat of Carson City, and Mrs.Richard (Linda) Gotwalt of Greenville; 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two brothers, Herman and Elmer, both of Portland; three sisters,Dorothy Miller and Mrs.Dale (Irene) Pennington, both of Portland, and Mrs.Phillip (Adaline) Hughes of Trufant; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter in 1940. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from SS Peter & Paul's Cemetery. The family will be at the Rich Street Chapel of Montgomery-Cook Funeral Home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30, with rosary at 8 p.m. Memorial have been established for SS Peter and Paul Church and the American Cancer society, in care of the funeral home.
