OBERLIN passed away at her home at 616 Hambrook St, November 7 following a short illness. She was 81 years old at the time of her death. She was born in Isabella County September 13, 1874 the daughter of Elijah and Helen MOUNT and came to the city 48 years ago. Her husband, William Oberlin, passed away in June 1954. Mrs. Oberlin was a real estate broker here for over 40 years. She was a member of Central Methodist Church and a charter member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors. She is survived by three sons, Ray of Baldwin, Bernie of Coral and Elon of this city; one brother, Elijah MOUNT of Remus; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services in charge of Fitzjohn Funeral home, will be held today, Thrusday, at 2:30 from Central Methodist Church. Rev. H.S. Ellis and Rev. Luther Brokaw, past of the church, will officiate and the buirial will be in River Ridge cemetery. Grandsons of Mrs. Oberlin will act as pall bearers.
